Our Story of Purpose and Passion
We are a nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that every community, no matter how marginalized, holds the seeds of its own transformation. We exist to water those seeds.
From a Small Room to a National Movement
Passion Society Organization began in 2018 in a small room in Dar es Salaam's Mwananyamala district. A group of five friends — teachers, nurses, and social workers — were moved by the poverty and lack of opportunity they saw around them every day. They decided to act.
With limited resources but unlimited passion, they organized the first community health day, providing free medical checkups to over 200 residents. The response was overwhelming. People were grateful, hopeful — and they asked for more.
From those humble beginnings, Passion Society has grown into a recognized nonprofit with six active programs, partnerships with government and international organizations, and a network of over 200 dedicated volunteers spanning multiple regions of Tanzania.
Our growth has been guided by one principle: listen to the community first. Every program we run was designed in direct response to what communities told us they needed most.
Passion Society Organization founded in Dar es Salaam with a team of 5 volunteers.
Launched our first Education for All scholarship program, supporting 50 students.
Expanded Community Health clinics to 3 regions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reached 2,000 beneficiaries and onboarded our 100th volunteer.
Launched Youth Empowerment vocational centers in Mwananyamala and Magomeni.
Surpassed 5,000 beneficiaries served across 6 active programs.
