Youth Vocational Center — Temeke
Open our third skills training center for 200 youth
About This Campaign
Our vocational centers in Mwananyamala and Magomeni have changed the lives of over 800 young people. We have a waiting list of over 200 youth in Temeke — one of Dar es Salaam's largest and most underserved districts — and no facility to serve them.
This campaign will fund the establishment of our third vocational training center in Temeke, offering six-month certificate courses in solar installation, phone repair, fashion design, catering, and plumbing. The facility will have five training rooms, a shared workspace for graduates, and a startup mentorship lounge.
We have already secured a 3-year lease on a suitable space in Temeke Kwa Mtogole. The $25,000 campaign goal covers renovation, equipment, initial staff costs, and the first cohort of 80 students' training materials and certification fees.
